If you have been feeling that your vital potential is not being fully realized, I can help you approach your life with a fresh change in perspective -- and new solutions.
I am here to listen to your concerns, without judgment -- and to invite us both to accept your fears, worries, anxieties and symptoms as doorways into healing. My way of working is to engage you in a conversational and respectful way, as we strengthen our working alliance. Old ways of coping that have blocked your path forward can now make way for fresh, new responses and more productive expressions of feeling in therapy and in life.
In this way, I can help you achieve a more authentic personal voice, as you take practical steps towards building stronger and more satisfying relationships and discover how to make more creative choices in your life.
I have been in private practice for 17 years and also have been involved in educating student therapists in the most current and effective practices through my work as founder and director of the Antioch University LGBT Specialization, founding director of Colors LGBTQ Youth Counseling Center, and co-founding member of the Institute for Uranian Psychoanalysis.
This experience gives me the chance to work with a variety of different techniques, for both individual and couple work, and also to provide an accepting space for people who have been burdened by internalized oppression and trauma of any kind, such as LGBT clients, people of color, women, and heterosexual clients who would like to embrace a fresh new outlook on life's challenges and opportunities.
Please feel free to give me a call at 323-413-2582, or email me at [email protected], to set up a free phone consultation, to see if I can help.
